London Handel Festival

Southbank Sinfonia’s annual Baroque project gives players an exceptional grounding in the performance of music from the 16th and 17th centuries. They learn from some of the UK’s top Baroque specialists who return enthusiastically each year for another dynamic collaboration.

This culminates in a concert for the London Handel Festival at St George’s Hanover Square where the players share their progress in the church where Handel himself was a member of the congregation.

Read a blog by 2014 violinist Maria Fiore Mazzarini on how there’s more to Baroque music than first meets the eye (or ear).
