JOIN SOUTHBANK SINFONIA 2011
Thank you for your interest in Southbank Sinfonia (SbS), Britain’s ground-breaking orchestra of young professionals and the country’s leading orchestral academy. Each year 32 musicians are selected to join SbS, which offers an eight-month programme of unrivalled performing and professional development opportunities.
We very much hope you will consider applying to become a member of Southbank Sinfonia in 2011.
Please note that there is no age limit for applicants.
The closing date for applications is 12 noon Wednesday 15 September 2010.

Auditions: Monday 18 – Friday 22 October, except percussion which will be on Sunday 31 October (For audition requirements click here)
Interviews: w/c Monday 1 November

Please read these documents carefully before completing an application. You can also take a look at our 2010 Concert Diary and SbS Brochure to get a flavour of what it is like to be part of SbS.
To apply to become a 2011 member of Southbank Sinfonia, please provide the following information:
• A completed Application Form
• Covering Letter
• Your CV tailored to the needs of SbS. In addition to your education and training, we’d like to read about your professional work, your involvement in chamber and orchestral performances, any unusual projects you’ve been a part of and details of when you’ve been proactive in developing your career.
• A passport photograph
IMPORTANT: Please ensure that the subject line of your email includes your name followed by your instrument only as per the following example ‘Fred Jones – Trumpet’.
