SbS takes up residence at the Royal Opera House for a run of Poulenc’s emotionally charged La voix humaine. Described as ‘a drama of separation’ by its librettist, Jean Cocteau, this operatic monologue features a lone female soprano undergoing the painful process of relinquishing her deserted lover over a telephone call.
