Elizabeth graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music with First Class Honours in 2009 where she studied with John Miller and Murray Greig. Born in 1987, Elizabeth is originally from Cardiff where she was awarded a scholarship to the Royal Junior Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2002, with whom she performed the Hummel Trumpet Concerto. During this time Elizabeth was a recipient of Richard Fice Memorial Award and later the Elizabeth Evans Trust.
As a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, Elizabeth has performed in concert halls across the UK, including two prom series at the Royal Albert Hall, and also on the main stage at Glastonbury Music Festival. Having been awarded the Swanston entrance scholarship to the RNCM, she performed as a soloist in Aaron Copland’s, Quiet City with the RNCM Concert Orchestra as well as principal trumpet in the college’s symphony orchestra for performances of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition and Strauss Alpine Symphony.
Most recently, Elizabeth has undertaken UK tours with the Mercury Prize nominated band, The Unthanks, welsh Tenor, Bryn Terfyl and worked with Opera North on its production of La Boheme.
