Romanian born Alexandra-Martha started her musical studies at the age of eight, under the guidance of Alexandrina Vasilache and Markos Gaspar in Iassy. Later on she attended the George Enescu University of Fine Arts where she achieved a Bachelor Degree in performance (viola and chamber music) while studying with Constantin Stanciu and Bujor Prelipcean, members of the Voces Quartet.
Alexandra-Martha has been awarded several prizes at the main national competitions held in Romania which enabled her to participate in various masterclasses with violists Dan Mitu, Piero Massa, Cristian Serrazzi, Silvio Di Rocco.
She formed the Armonia String Quartet in 2001, which has performed in her own country, France and Italy, and also plays with the Mediterranean Trio (flute, viola and harp), Braccissimo Sextet and Arpeggione Chamber Orchestra, performing in Wigmore Hall, Blackheath Halls (London), Academie Diplomatique (Paris), Teatro Garrau (Cagliari). Alexandra–Martha has also had a broad orchestral experience as the leader of several youth orchestras in Romania and Italy, such as the Fedele Fenaroli Youth Orchestra Lanciano and the Orchestra Internazionale di Pescara.
Alexandra is currently completing a Masters in Performance at Trinity College of Music with international soloist Rivka Golani and chamber music with Michael Bochmann.
